TCMS Engineer (Railway) – Mid Level

About the role

Capgemini Engineering is looking for a mid‑level TCMS Engineer to join its railway team. You will work on hybrid projects located in Zaragoza, the Basque Country or Madrid, contributing to the development and evolution of Train Control and Management Systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, integrate and evolve TCMS solutions for onboard and factory environments.
• Collaborate with technical teams on trains and in industrial settings.
• Analyze and resolve technical incidents in railway systems.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary groups (software, systems, validation).
• Support continuous improvement and system optimisation activities.
• Provide technical project follow‑up and occasional national or international travel.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in the railway sector, specifically with TCMS.
• Familiarity with major manufacturers (e.g., CAF) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of C/C++ programming.
• Experience working in complex technical environments and in teams.
• Motivation to grow into higher‑responsibility technical or coordination roles.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
• High level of English for an international work environment.
