Tax Officer

About the role

The Tax Officer will support the business unit in implementing tax planning and compliance strategies. This role ensures accurate and timely filing of all local and national tax returns while providing basic tax guidance to internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, file, and pay local and national tax returns on schedule.
• Conduct regular reviews of tax compliance to meet BIR, LGU, and BOC requirements.
• Handle day‑to‑day tax matters, including schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents.
• Assist in BIR, LGU, and Customs audits, inspections, and permit processes.
• Coordinate with internal departments, auditors, consultants, and government agencies on tax issues.
• Monitor updates in tax laws and disseminate relevant information to concerned teams.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for all tax filings and transactions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in tax compliance, advisory, or audit.
• CPA certification is mandatory.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong communication skills for effective coordination with internal and external parties.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Philippine tax laws (BIR, LGU, BOC).
• Familiarity with accounting standards and basic financial reporting.
• Experience with BIR and LGU audits; BOC experience is a plus.
• CPA certification.
