Tax Advisory Senior Associate

About the role

SGV, a member firm of EY, is seeking a Tax Advisory Senior Associate to join its tax practice. You will work with a team of experienced professionals to provide comprehensive tax advice and solutions to corporate clients across a range of industries.

Key responsibilities

• Identify significant client issues through active listening and targeted questioning.
• Conduct research on tax issuances and regulations to support advisory opinions.
• Draft position papers, protest letters, tax memoranda, and other reports for clients.
• Assist managers in preparing client meeting materials and engagement proposals.
• Support clients in implementing tax advice related to corporate restructuring, joint ventures, and other transactions.
• Stay current with tax and corporate rule changes to advise clients promptly.
• Participate in team discussions to develop tax planning strategies.
• Handle engagements ranging from simple queries to complex due diligence, wealth planning, and succession projects.
• Assist clients with tax policy objectives, filing applications, and liaising with government agencies.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in tax advisory or related fields.
• Strong analytical and research abilities.
• Excellent written communication for drafting tax documents.
• Ability to work collaboratively with managers and cross‑functional teams.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of tax legislation and corporate regulations.
