Specialist I – Buying Planning

About the role

Join Emerson as a Specialist I in Buying Planning, applying your supply planning knowledge across plant sites to procure the goods needed for uninterrupted operations. You will ensure timely delivery of materials while balancing price, quality, and delivery considerations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue purchase orders and manage supplier acknowledgments.
• Expedite purchase orders and communicate delivery information to impacted departments.
• Manage material shortages, short shipments, and buy lists.
• Analyze invoice discrepancies and communicate resolutions.
• Resolve Quality and Non‑Conformance Material Reports.
• Participate in review meetings on material requirements planning, inventory reduction, service levels, and S&OP processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Purchasing or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in buying, planning, S&OP, procurement or supply chain.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to generate accurate reports independently.

Required skills

• Supply Chain systems (MRP, ERP) understanding.
• Data manipulation, analysis and metrics reporting.
• Material Requirement Planning and gap analysis.
