Senior Legal Specialist – Labor & Employment

About the role

Syngenta Seeds is seeking a Senior Legal Specialist to support its Asia Legal Counsel on labor and employment matters in the Philippines. The role will also drive the adoption of AI‑enabled legal solutions and ensure compliance across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on employment contracts, workplace policies, disciplinary actions, terminations and dispute resolution in line with Philippine labor law.
• Monitor legislative developments, update internal policies and liaise with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) on inquiries, audits and proceedings.
• Lead compliance initiatives, conduct training sessions and support product recall processes with relevant authorities.
• Prepare and maintain statutory records, coordinate board and shareholder meetings, and ensure timely filings under local company law.
• Review and draft standard non‑complex agreements (e.g., NDAs, POAs), flagging potential legal risks.
• Organise legal documents, manage databases and filing systems to ensure efficient retrieval and storage.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of Philippine labor and employment law.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with internal stakeholders and government agencies.
• Experience in compliance program management and corporate secretarial duties.
