Senior Hosting Engineer

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Senior Hosting Engineer to manage and improve its infrastructure across on‑premises and cloud environments. The role ensures reliable, secure hosting services, performance, and SLA compliance while supporting the team through mentoring and training.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve incidents and problems related to infrastructure operations, restoring services promptly.
• Support Solutions teams to ensure operational readiness and smooth service transitions.
• Maintain accurate operational documentation, including as‑built records and knowledge articles.
• Deploy, manage, and optimise on‑prem and cloud infrastructure for performance and security.
• Administer backup and recovery solutions across all environments, ensuring data integrity and availability.
• Implement and manage patching and vulnerability remediation for servers.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and enforce security compliance across hosted systems.
• Deploy, update, troubleshoot, and maintain antivirus solutions.
• Monitor system health using cloud and on‑prem tools to ensure reliability.
• Generate and maintain service performance reports for hosting operations.
• Manage troubleshooting and recovery procedures using ITIL‑based automation and manual remediation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain infrastructure efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with ISMS frameworks and implement automation for patching, monitoring, and reporting.
