Purchasing Officer

About the role

The Purchasing Officer will act as the bridge between Innodata and its suppliers, ensuring that all materials, equipment and services are sourced efficiently and align with the company’s sales goals and overall strategy. This role focuses on timely delivery, cost‑effectiveness, and continuous improvement of the procurement process.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely delivery of requisitioned items at the most cost‑effective terms.
• Manage the end‑to‑end procurement cycle using ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Raise purchase orders in line with business rules and process receipt of goods against approved delivery documents.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, monitor lead times and expedite outstanding orders.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the purchasing function.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of progressive experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accountancy, Finance or a closely related field.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics).
