Procurement Buyer (CAPEX)

About the role

The CAPEX Procurement Buyer will lead sourcing, negotiation and contract management for capital‑expenditure projects in a food manufacturing environment. You will support plant expansion, equipment acquisition, construction and automation initiatives while ensuring cost‑effectiveness, quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end procurement for CAPEX projects, including equipment, construction, utilities and automation systems.
• Manage sourcing activities from RFQ/RFP issuance through supplier selection, negotiation and contract award.
• Evaluate technical and commercial proposals in collaboration with engineering, operations and finance teams.
• Build and maintain supplier and contractor relationships, monitoring performance, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate closely with project and engineering teams to meet timelines and delivery milestones.
• Prepare bid evaluations, negotiate commercial terms and ensure contract compliance.
• Drive cost‑saving initiatives and strategic sourcing improvements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to company policies, safety and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Graduate of Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3–5 years of procurement experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, industrial manufacturing, engineering or project procurement.
• Experience with CAPEX or project‑based procurement is highly preferred.
• Exposure to construction, MEPF, utilities or production equipment sourcing is an advantage.
• Strong business acumen, project management and communication skills.
• High sense of achievement, analytical and goal‑driven mindset.
