Process Technician – COX Expansion

About the role

The Process Technician supports process and product engineers during trials, builds, transfers and validation activities for the COX expansion project. The role is fully onsite in a manufacturing, laboratory and clean‑room environment and requires participation in shift work and weekend support.

Key responsibilities

• Assist engineers with design‑of‑experiment activities, equipment qualification and process validation.
• Collect samples, data and measurements for hold‑lot disposition, troubleshooting and root‑cause investigations.
• Perform visual, dimensional, mechanical, electrical and optical inspections using microscopes, gauges, meters and other equipment.
• Execute testing activities such as reliability read‑outs and special tests according to approved procedures.
• Report process abnormalities, equipment issues, material problems, product defects and out‑of‑spec conditions.
• Provide feedback on process improvements, tooling concerns, ergonomic issues and recurring production problems.

Required profile

• Graduate of vocational engineering courses; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Experience with assembly or test processes such as die bonding, wire bonding, laser marking, burn‑in or optical testing.
• Willingness and ability to work on shifting schedules and provide weekend support during builds and ramp‑up.

Required skills

• Die bonding, wire bonding and laser marking techniques.
• Burn‑in and optical testing procedures.
• Use of inspection equipment (microscopes, gauges, meters) for visual, dimensional, mechanical, electrical and optical checks.
• Knowledge of SPC, 5S, Lean Manufacturing or other continuous‑improvement tools.
• Basic troubleshooting and problem‑solving of process abnormalities.
