Mobility Engineer – Android Platform

About the role

The Mobility / Edge Infrastructure Engineer owns the development lifecycle, scalability, and developer experience of our core native Android application. Working remotely, you will treat the mobile app and its delivery pipelines as a product, ensuring modern architecture, security, and seamless integration with enterprise platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve Android application architecture, standards, and modernization strategies.
• Build and maintain scalable developer tooling and platform services.
• Design, implement, and manage end‑to‑end mobile CI/CD pipelines for reliable automated delivery.
• Implement security and compliance controls throughout the mobile development lifecycle.
• Monitor platform performance, driving improvements in reliability, stability, and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 2–3 years focused on native Android product or platform development.
• Strong analytical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to balance development velocity with security and operational stability.

Required skills

• Kotlin and deep knowledge of the Android SDK.
• Building and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating with enterprise authentication and data‑synchronization platforms.
• Mobile CI/CD pipeline creation and automation.
• Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) tools such as Workspace ONE, SOTI, and Microsoft Intune.
• Working with Android rugged devices and enterprise hardware ecosystems.
• Telemetry and analytics for engineering decisions.
• DevSecOps practices, including automated security scanning and policy integration.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Version control (Git) and project management tools (JIRA).
