Legal Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Manager to provide comprehensive legal support to a leading BPO organization. The role involves contract preparation, labor law guidance, and representation in litigation, ensuring the company remains compliant with all corporate and labor regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with external parties such as vendors, government agencies, and external counsel.
• Act as the official company representative in labor and criminal litigation cases.
• Partner with HR Business Partners to develop and enforce policies, grievance procedures, due process, and exit interview protocols.
• Research, develop, and deliver training on labor laws and related legal matters to HR and line management.
• Provide regular legal updates to the HR team and senior leadership.
• Design and facilitate learning sessions for HR and organizational leaders on policy implementation and labor compliance.
• Conduct audits of company policies, employment contracts, and vendor agreements to ensure legal compliance.
• Serve as first point of contact for external labor complaints with NLRC and DOLE, coordinating with HR stakeholders.
• Draft legal opinions, contracts, and litigation documents, including filings with NLRC or DOLE.
• Review and negotiate vendor contracts, highlighting any conflicts with contractual obligations.
• May act as Corporate Secretary for the Community Board, attending meetings and handling board-related legal matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher; postgraduate diploma or Master's degree preferred.
• Professional legal license (passed Bar/Board examination).
• Extensive knowledge of Philippine labor law and corporate legal practices.
• Proven experience handling labor and criminal litigation.
• Strong ability to collaborate with HR and senior management.
