Legal Manager

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced and licensed Legal Manager to lead the company’s legal function. The role covers corporate, labor, and criminal law matters, ensuring compliance and providing strategic legal advice across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal research, draft opinions, and prepare contracts and litigation documents.
• Serve as the in‑house labor expert, designing training and advising HR on grievance procedures, due process, and exit interviews.
• Monitor updates to labor laws and communicate changes to stakeholders.
• Perform regular audits of policies, employment contracts, and vendor agreements for legal compliance.
• Coordinate with external counsel, government agencies, and vendors.
• Act as the first point of contact for NLRC and DOLE complaints, managing dispute resolution.
• Lead contract negotiations for finance, HR, and other departments when conflicts arise.
• Optionally serve as Corporate Secretary for the Community Board, handling board‑related legal matters.

Required profile

• Professional law license (Bar/Board exam passed).
• Bachelor’s degree; postgraduate diploma or Master’s preferred.
• 6‑8 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in corporate and labor law.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong public presentation abilities.
• Above‑average problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities.
