Legal Counsel (Philippines)

About the role

Join the legal team of ST Telemedia Global Data Centre Philippines and support the Head of Legal in delivering high‑quality legal services across the organization. You will work closely with multiple business units to ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and enable commercial success.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Legal in day‑to‑day legal matters and departmental KPIs.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide timely legal advice.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable Philippine laws and regulations.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts and agreements aligned with business objectives.
• Provide strategic advice on contract terms, risks, and commercial implications.
• Render legal opinions and monitor updates in the legal landscape.
• Develop and maintain legal guidelines, policies, standard form agreements, and internal training materials.
• Conduct trainings and orientations on legal matters and business processes.
• Prepare correspondence with government agencies, demand letters, and other regulatory filings.
• Perform any other legal tasks assigned by the Head of Legal.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor degree from a Philippine law school.
• Licensed to practice law in the Philippines and a member in good standing of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a law firm.
• High ethical standards, strict confidentiality, and strong commercial judgment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑intensity environment.
• Team‑player attitude, efficiency, and willingness to learn new legal areas.
• Preferable experience in real estate, construction, or ICT sectors.
