- Conduct detailed circuit analysis, component selection and worst‑case analysis to ensure robust, compliant designs.
- Perform power loss calculations, thermal analysis and implement appropriate cooling solutions.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans covering functional, performance, reliability and compliance testing.
- Collaborate with mechanical, firmware and industrial design engineers to integrate power electronics into overall product architecture.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior power electronics engineers.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends and regulatory requirements.
- Manage project timelines, resources and deliverables for power electronics initiatives.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the development process.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in power electronics design and development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior engineering role.
- Proven expertise in designing various power‑converter topologies (flyback, buck, boost, LLC, resonant converters, PFC).
- Strong understanding of power semiconductor devices (MOSFETs, IGBTs, GaN, SiC) and their applications.
- Proficiency with power‑electronics simulation tools such as SPICE, PSIM, PLECS and MATLAB/Simulink.
- Hands‑on experience using PCB design tools like Altium Designer, Eagle and KiCad.
