Head of Tax – Philippines

About the role

The Philippines Tax Director will lead the development, implementation, and oversight of tax strategies, compliance, and advisory services for Coca-Cola Europacific Aboitiz Philippines. Reporting to the Country CFO and aligned with the global VP of Tax & Customs, this senior position ensures alignment with CCEP’s global tax strategy while managing local obligations and audits.

Key responsibilities

• Own and implement CCEP’s tax strategy, policy, and governance framework in the Philippines, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Oversee accurate and timely tax filings, payments, and statutory reporting for the company and its subsidiaries, including VAT, Excise, Income Tax, and DTA.
• Lead monthly and quarterly SOX certifications, tax provision approvals, and reporting to CCEP Tax.
• Provide proactive tax advice on transactions, contracts, and legislative changes, including transfer pricing and real property tax matters.
• Develop tax‑efficient structures and planning strategies to minimize liabilities and optimize compliance costs.
• Manage external audits, liaise with tax authorities, and coordinate business permits, invoice authority, and legacy merger title transfers.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in tax management, with at least 8 years in a managerial role.
• University/Bachelor’s degree required; CA, CPA, or MBA preferred.
• Extensive experience managing external tax advisors.
• Strong knowledge of tax compliance, advisory, assessments, and planning.
• Proven ability to handle SOX certifications, tax provisions, and cross‑border tax projects.
