Head of Project Management Department (Solar)

About the role

The Head of Project Management Department (Solar) will lead the local project managers team, ensuring solar projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. Reporting to the Country Manager and the Regional Project Execution Director, this role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the local solar project management team.
• Manage customer technical communication during execution and pre‑sales phases.
• Oversee EPC tendering, bill‑of‑materials review, contractor selection, and due‑diligence.
• Coordinate O&M activities and optimize designs with the Design Center.
• Identify and mitigate risks, securing permits, licenses, and insurance on schedule.
• Maintain project data in company tools and drive CAPEX and performance optimization.
• Contribute to regional and country project management initiatives.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (mechanical or electrical); master’s in energy is a plus.
• Minimum 10 years experience in rooftop solar project execution and solar engineering.
• Proven track record of managing the full project lifecycle from EPC tendering to operations start‑up.
• Leadership experience managing diverse teams and handling complex, high‑pressure situations.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Excellent communication skills in English and the local language.
