Geospatial Consultant

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Geospatial Consultant to support large‑scale infrastructure projects, primarily in Queensland, while collaborating with teams across Australia and New Zealand. You will join an expanding Geospatial team in Brisbane, working on thematic mapping, GIS database management, and the development of spatial solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare thematic maps and other geospatial outputs for project delivery.
• Develop, maintain, and update GIS databases and spatial datasets.
• Assist in designing and implementing geospatial tools and dashboards using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Support data preparation, including generation of ESdat tables.
• Automate geospatial workflows and data transformation processes with Model Builder, FME, and Python.
• Contribute to testing, scaling, and deployment of spatial solutions.
• Collaborate with geospatial teams across Australia and New Zealand on project delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Spatial Science, Geography, Geospatial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with Geographic Information Systems, preferably in a consultancy environment.
• Proven capability in spatial data analysis and digital map creation.
