Family Practitioner / General Practitioner (Cortes Island)

About the role

The Cortes Community Health Association is seeking a Family Practitioner to join its modern clinic on Cortes Island. You will deliver comprehensive primary care to a vibrant community of permanent and seasonal residents, ensuring culturally safe and longitudinal access to health services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general primary care, including consultations, examinations, and urgent same‑day access.
• Deliver services in addictions medicine, primary reproductive care, and chronic disease management.
• Perform minor medical procedures and emergency care in the treatment space.
• Monitor patients continuously, offering follow‑up and ongoing care.
• Contribute to year‑over‑year attachment goals and support community health initiatives.

Required profile

• Licensed physician qualified to practice family/general medicine in British Columbia.
• Willingness to work part‑time (2‑4 physicians) or full‑time in a remote, community‑focused setting.
• Commitment to culturally safe care for Indigenous and diverse populations.

• Recruitment incentive up to $20,000 (full‑time)
