DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Cloud DevOps AI System Lead to join the Data‑Driven Customer Insights team. The role combines system leadership with DevOps engineering to ensure stability, performance, automation and continuous operation of scalable cloud and AI solutions for commercial, medical and analytics functions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain system compliance, security and documentation in line with SOPs.
• Lead troubleshooting, incident management and escalations while supporting proactive maintenance and releases.
• Design, implement and manage scalable AWS cloud infrastructure using IaC, connectors and OpenShift for release automation.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines following DevOps and GitOps principles.
• Manage containerised workloads with Kubernetes/EKS, Helm and ArgoCD.
• Monitor performance and cloud service health, collaborating on AI optimisation.
• Coordinate with IT functional teams on service requests and system interfaces.
• Work with vendors and stakeholders to ensure integration and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience operating complex, globally‑distributed AI or cloud‑based systems.
• Proven 2nd/3rd‑level support experience for AI solutions and knowledge of ITIL processes.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving ability and capacity to work in fast‑paced environments.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Japanese.
