Data Scientist

About the role

As a Data Scientist you will develop, maintain and advance the company’s data and analytics capabilities to support operational performance, strategic decision‑making and business growth. You will work closely with Operations, Finance and Commercial teams to deliver reliable, scalable and actionable data outputs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable data models, support the evolution toward a modern data stack and unified reporting framework.
• Build and improve forecasting models for consignments, weight, cube and volumes, transitioning from Holt‑Winters to machine‑learning approaches.
• Create and maintain dashboards (Power BI, Tableau) and standardise reporting across the organisation.
• Ensure data quality, integrity and governance by identifying gaps and improving data capture processes.
• Translate data into actionable insights for leadership and operational teams, supporting strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to automate data pipelines and deliver tailored reporting solutions.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in data analysis, data strategy, cost modelling and reporting.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms, DataBricks and Snowflake.
• Proven ability to develop forecasting techniques and statistical models.
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI and strong data‑querying skills (SQL, Python or R).
• Degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems or a related field.
• Strong problem‑solving, stakeholder management and storytelling abilities.
