Cost Control Manager – Construction Projects

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Cost Control Manager to lead cost and quality control for its construction business in the Philippines. The role ensures that external supplier services align with contracts, monitors budgets, and supports sustainable infrastructure delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review, and maintain the project budget, ensuring alignment with scope and schedule.
• Track actual costs against budgeted figures and prepare regular cost reports and variance analyses.
• Provide accurate cost forecasts and update them based on scope, schedule, or market changes.
• Evaluate cost impact of design changes, scope variations, and claims, ensuring proper documentation and approval.
• Identify financial risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor contingency usage.
• Coordinate with project managers, procurement, finance, contractors, and suppliers to validate cost data.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements, maintaining records for audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of cost control experience on large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong analytical abilities and experience managing budgets and forecasts.

Required skills

• Proficiency with cost management software such as Primavera or SAP.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Familiarity with project management tools.
