Accounting Manager – General Accounting Lead

About the role

The Accounting Manager will lead the General Accounting team, translating senior management direction into actionable goals. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvement within a dynamic energy‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate management direction and set annual targets aligned with Division/Department KPIs.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of General Accounting, ensuring timely and accurate journal entries and reconciliations.
• Evaluate individual performance and provide coaching to team members.
• Maintain compliance with BIR, SEC, LGU and other government regulations.
• Coordinate with Tax, Legal, and Audit divisions to resolve open regulatory cases.
• Prepare financial reports and data analytics for senior management and regulatory bodies.
• Lead process‑improvement projects and act as project champion.
• Sign off on accountability clearance for resigned or separated employees and conduct final review of terminal pay.

Required profile

• Graduate of BS Accountancy.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
• 5–7 years of team‑leadership experience in accounting.
• At least one year reporting directly to a Finance Head, CFO or equivalent.
• Hands‑on experience with external and BIR audits.
• Preferably experience in the energy sector.
• Willingness to work onsite at MOA Complex, Pasay City.
