Workday Extend Consultant / Architect

About the role

Kognitiv Inc. is expanding its Workday Extend practice and seeks a Consultant/Architect to design and deliver custom Workday applications. You will translate client requirements into production‑ready solutions that live natively within the Workday UI.

Key responsibilities

• Design and prototype custom apps using Workday Extend, App Builder, and Page Builder.
• Develop event‑driven orchestrations to integrate Workday with third‑party systems.
• Create and manage Custom Business Objects and related data models.
• Write and optimize logic with Workday Query Language, REST and SOAP APIs.
• Independently build, test, and deploy applications while ensuring they are update‑safe.
• Debug complex orchestration logic and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Contribute reusable templates and best‑practice guidelines to the internal solution library.
• Collaborate with functional and integration teams to ensure seamless integration with core HCM, Finance, or Student modules.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with Workday Extend.
• Strong understanding of Workday data model and security domains.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs.
• Self‑starter attitude with a focus on delivering high‑quality, maintainable code.
