Vulnerability Management Engineer – Cyber Defence

About the role

The Cyber Defence squad at ANZ protects the bank by ensuring secure internet access and robust security controls. You will work globally with business units to manage security platforms, troubleshoot endpoint issues, and support continuous improvement of security processes.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with global business units to manage and support security platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to endpoint security technologies.
• Manage execution of upgrades, enhancements, and security requests.
• Identify and recommend process improvements and security control enhancements based on regulatory and best‑practice procedures.
• Provide on‑call (after‑hours) support as part of a 24x7 shifting schedule.

Required profile

• Proven advanced, hands‑on experience as a Subject Matter Expert with Tenable.sc and/or Tenable.io, covering enterprise‑scale vulnerability management, risk prioritisation, reporting and remediation tracking.
• Extensive experience installing, configuring, hardening and patching Linux, Windows and macOS environments across large, complex enterprises.
• Demonstrated ability to drive vulnerability remediation programmes and work with cross‑functional technology teams.
• Strong background implementing and managing security configurations, endpoint management and compliance controls using tools such as Microsoft SCCM, Intune or Puppet.
• Solid understanding of core enterprise infrastructure technologies including Active Directory, VDI, Windows/Linux servers, virtualization platforms and cloud services.
