Utilization Review Intake Nurse (Philippines)

About the role

Gallagher Bassett is expanding its first Philippines‑based site and is seeking a Licensed Philippine Nurse to join the Utilization Review (UR) team. The role provides intake support for workers‑compensation claims, ensuring accurate authorization processing and compliance with US healthcare standards.

Key responsibilities

• Enter incoming authorization requests into the UR system, capturing CPT and ICD‑10 codes.
• Verify compensability of requested treatments by reviewing claim notes.
• Confirm that all demographic data for injured workers, providers, attorneys and claims staff is correct.
• Handle protected health information in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Attend training and educational sessions as required.
• Perform additional duties assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• Active nursing license in the Philippines.
• Experience working in US healthcare environments.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent decision‑making, organization and time‑management abilities.
• Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute (preferred).
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced setting.
• Willingness to work any assigned shift in Makati City.
• Preferably background in workers’ compensation and familiarity with ICD‑10 and utilization review, though not mandatory.
