US Senior Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced US Senior Tax Manager to lead complex tax preparation, review, and client‑facing activities for a US‑based client. The role is fully remote, operates on a night‑shift schedule, and offers the opportunity to mentor a team while taking on strategic responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local income tax returns for various entities.
• Conduct high‑level technical reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Manage federal and state tax audits, acting as the primary liaison with tax authorities.
• Serve as the main point of contact for assigned US tax clients, handling inquiries and providing proactive tax planning.
• Supervise, mentor, and train staff and senior tax accountants, reviewing workpapers and offering feedback.
• Assist senior leadership with workflow management, deadline coordination, and process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate on department goals, business development, and client expansion opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy (or related field).
• Minimum 5 years of progressive US taxation experience, preferably in public accounting or a multinational corporation.
• CPA license is a plus; US licensure is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and project‑management abilities.

Required skills

• CCH Axcess tax software.
• In‑depth knowledge of US federal and state tax codes.
• Understanding of US GAAP.
• Advanced tax preparation and review capabilities.
