Transport Coordinator – Operations

About the role

The Transport Coordinator will oversee day‑to‑day transportation operations, ensuring that trucks, vendors and routes are managed efficiently to support the company’s logistics network.

Key responsibilities

• Cultivate and manage strong relationships with vendors, aligning daily operations with supplier capabilities.
• Schedule truck arrivals and departures, reduce idle time, and adjust routes in real time to maximize utilization.
• Develop optimal routing strategies, forecast transport needs, and prepare weekly/monthly forecasts.
• Coordinate truck call times with hub throughput, loading dock availability, and overall operational plans.
• Report on fleet performance, route efficiency, and turnaround times; monitor KPIs and address bottlenecks.
• Evaluate vendor performance, conduct regular review meetings, and share metrics with strategy teams.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, collaborate with RC and operations teams, and communicate promptly with drivers and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven experience in transportation logistics; line‑haul experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical abilities for forecasting and planning.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
