Trackworks Lead – Railway Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

The Trackworks Lead is responsible for the end‑to‑end reliability of the MRT7 railway track system. This position combines technical field supervision with administrative oversight to ensure safe, efficient and cost‑effective operations across the network.

Key responsibilities

• Identify preventive and corrective maintenance needs, develop schedules and ensure work follows engineering procedures.
• Provide on‑site guidance to teams during repairs and inspections, guaranteeing technical accuracy and safety.
• Lead investigations of track failures, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Operations to manage breakdowns or emergencies and restore train services quickly.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and equipment, review purchase requests and work with the Business Procurement Group.
• Prepare technical input for the annual maintenance budget and monitor departmental spending.
• Conduct regular 1‑on‑1 feedback sessions, annual performance reviews and align team goals with business targets.
• Handle time‑keeping duties, approve overtime, vacation leaves and manage HR issues such as Notices to Explain and administrative hearings.
• Ensure compliance with national and international railway safety standards and regulatory protocols.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising railway track maintenance and field operations.
• Strong knowledge of national and international railway safety standards.
• Ability to manage human resources, budgets and procurement processes.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with a focus on root‑cause analysis.
