Technical Specialist

About the role

The Technical Specialist will support the Integrated Delivery of TB Services (iDOTS) network in Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur. Working closely with health facilities and laboratories, the specialist ensures that TB patients receive timely diagnosis, treatment, and follow‑up in line with the latest DOH NTP‑MOP protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to iDOTS facilities to ensure proper referral, testing, and treatment of presumptive and confirmed TB cases.
• Oversee TB rapid diagnostic testing (e.g., GeneXpert, TrueNat) and ensure results are recorded in the Integrated TB Information System (ITIS).
• Coordinate with TB culture, DST, and routine diagnostic laboratories, linking facilities to necessary services.
• Facilitate contact tracing, TB preventive therapy enrollment, and HIV Provider‑Initiated Counseling and Testing.
• Support drug and supply management, including adverse drug reaction reporting via the Pharmacovigilance Monitoring System (PViMS).
• Assist the Program Officer in collecting monthly activity reports and consolidating data for regional and national TB advisory bodies.
