Technical Project Manager

About the role

WRS Health is seeking a Technical Project Manager (also referred to as Technical Product Owner) to bridge business objectives and technical execution for its cloud‑based EHR and practice‑management solutions. You will act as the primary advocate for customers, guiding products from concept through launch while ensuring regulatory compliance and high‑quality releases.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and document requirements from clients and internal stakeholders.
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog, preparing items for development.
• Lead Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate closely with developers, QA, and UI/UX architects to ensure accurate implementation and smooth releases.
• Communicate new‑feature value to internal teams and clients.
• Oversee and mentor the Product Owner team, setting goals and evaluating performance.
• Maintain internal tools (e.g., developer PTO and assignment trackers).
• Handle system certification processes (ONC, Surescripts, MDToolbox/DEA) and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
• Manage the manual testing team, aligning testing timelines with product delivery.
• Direct MIPS services, ensure compliance, and coordinate financial reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience conducting user research and translating insights into user flows, personas, or similar artifacts.
• Background in healthcare or health‑technology software is a strong advantage.
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities, identify critical roadblocks, and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Data‑driven mindset with experience using analytics to inform product decisions.
• Proactive, self‑motivated, and capable of exercising sound judgment independently.
