Technical Instructor – Thermal

About the role

The Technical Instructor – Thermal will design, deliver, and evaluate training programs on Vertiv's thermal management solutions for field service associates, customers, and partners. The role combines classroom instruction, virtual workshops, and hands‑on labs to ensure participants can safely install, program, maintain, and repair thermal equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high‑impact training in multiple formats (instructor‑led, virtual, self‑paced, lab exercises) following Global Academy guidelines.
• Collaborate with the Global Training Academy to define learning objectives, structure courses, and create regional content for Asia.
• Produce and maintain training materials, tests, multimedia tools, and documentation for the power product portfolio.
• Communicate product updates from the Global Academy to the Asia Service Organization.
• Facilitate blended learning sessions, conduct final exams, and manage diploma ceremonies.
• Attend Train‑the‑Trainer sessions and achieve Trainer Accreditation.
• Maintain the training area and demo units, and support local trainers in ANZ.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands‑on mechanical installation, commissioning, or field service in data‑center, industrial, or commercial environments.
• Strong knowledge of thermal management principles and electrical/electronic controls.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong presentation and facilitation abilities.
• Familiarity with adult learning theory and ability to work independently.
• Organizational and time‑management skills with a proactive, adaptable attitude.
