Technical Instructor – Power

About the role

The Technical Instructor – Power will design, deliver and evaluate training programmes for field service associates, customers and partners on UPS, power and monitoring systems. The role combines classroom, virtual and hands‑on lab instruction to ensure learners master safety, installation, programming, maintenance and repair of power equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high‑impact training in multiple formats: instructor‑led, virtual workshops, train‑the‑trainer, self‑paced online courses and lab exercises.
• Collaborate with the Global Academy team to define learning objectives, structure content and align materials with regional needs.
• Create and maintain comprehensive training materials, including theoretical modules, multimedia tools, procedures, practical exercises and assessments for the power product portfolio.
• Communicate product updates from the Global Academy to the Asia Service Organization and support local trainers in ANZ.
• Maintain training areas and demo units, ensuring they are ready for effective learning experiences.
• Participate in Train‑the‑Trainer sessions and achieve trainer accreditation.

Required profile

• Electrical/electronic technical degree or equivalent field experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in electrical or mechanical installation, commissioning or field service within data‑center, industrial or commercial environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution systems, including switchgear, busway/busbar, UPS and energy‑storage infrastructure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on presentation and facilitation for adult learners.
• Familiarity with adult learning theory and principles.
• Organizational and time‑management abilities to multitask and work independently.
