Team Lead Accounts Receivable

About the role

The Team Lead, Finance Shared Services – Accounts Receivable will head the day‑to‑day AR function, ensuring accurate billing, timely collections and robust reporting while supporting strong cash flow and financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of AR Officers to meet performance targets and service levels.
• Oversee end‑to‑end AR processes including invoicing, credit management, collections and reconciliations.
• Monitor overdue accounts, manage escalations and minimise aged debt.
• Act as primary escalation point for internal teams and external customers on AR matters.
• Prepare AR dashboards, ageing reports, KPIs and month‑end submissions.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with financial policies.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and drive automation and standardisation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or a related finance function.
• Previous experience supervising or leading a small team.
• Strong understanding of AR processes, credit management and financial controls.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as TechnologyOne, Dynamics 365, SAP or Oracle NetSuite.
• Advanced MS Excel skills with a focus on data accuracy.
