Tax Specialist – Australian Tax Advisory (Hybrid)

About the role

Join a pioneering team within one of Australia’s leading Big Four accounting firms as an Australian Tax Specialist. This full‑time, hybrid position based in the Philippines offers exposure to complex tax engagements, strategic transactions, and advisory projects for SME and mid‑market clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Australian income tax returns and technical advisory reports.
• Conduct tax research and provide guidance on Australian taxation, GST, and complex tax matters.
• Support business structuring, cross‑border transactions, and indirect tax advisory initiatives.
• Assist with asset acquisitions, divestments, financing arrangements, and IPO‑related tax issues.
• Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office on reviews, audits, and dispute resolution.
• Apply legislative updates to client engagements and contribute to knowledge‑sharing activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of Australian tax experience.
• At least 2 years in Australian public‑practice accounting.
• Experience with SME and mid‑market clients (AUD 5M‑100M+ turnover).
• Strong analytical, research, and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Australian tax law and GST compliance.
• Tax research and technical advisory writing.
• Preparation of Australian financial statements and tax workpapers.
• Understanding of cross‑border transaction structuring.
