Tax Compliance Officer

About the role

The Tax Compliance Officer ensures that the company meets all statutory tax obligations and maintains accurate tax reporting. You will work closely with finance, auditors, and government agencies to guarantee compliance with Philippine tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file timely tax returns, including VAT, withholding, and income taxes.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the business.
• Maintain organized tax records, supporting documents, and compliance reports.
• Reconcile tax accounts and verify tax‑related entries in the accounting system.
• Coordinate with government agencies on filings, assessments, audits, and inquiries.
• Assist in handling tax audits and provide required documentation.
• Review financial transactions for proper tax treatment.
• Identify tax risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Support tax planning and process‑improvement initiatives.
• Prepare management reports on tax compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in taxation, accounting, or tax compliance.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws and BIR requirements.
• Experience handling BIR audits and tax assessments.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
