Systems Administrator

About the role

Thrive is a fast‑growing technology solutions provider focused on cloud, cyber security, networking, disaster recovery and managed services. The Systems Administrator will provide remote support across multi‑tenant environments, handling escalated incidents and complex service requests while maintaining clear client communication.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with customers via phone, email and chat, providing timely and professional updates.
• Perform secondary response and advanced troubleshooting of escalated issues, documenting actions in Thrive’s tools.
• Analyze unfamiliar client environments to determine the fastest resolution path.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of workstation, server and network incidents and resolve them independently.
• Provide guidance on applications, best practices and infrastructure standards, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of IT support/operations experience, preferably in an MSP or multi‑tenant setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer‑service mindset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, including after‑hours or on‑call rotations.

Required skills

• Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra, Exchange/M365 administration, Intune, SharePoint.
• Networking fundamentals: Layer 2/3, VLANs, DHCP/DNS, NAT, site‑to‑site VPNs.
• Endpoint security (EDR/AV), backup/DR, patch management.
• PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Incident management, change control and documentation.
