System Administrator

About the role

DataOne is looking for a System Administrator to manage and secure its IT systems and infrastructure in Davao. Working closely with the CTO and the IT Infrastructure team, you will ensure high availability, performance and security of both physical and virtual environments.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain physical and virtual servers on Windows Server and Debian Linux.
• Deploy, configure and update software and operating systems.
• Monitor systems with Prometheus and Grafana to guarantee high availability.
• Manage backups, disaster-recovery plans and respond to critical incidents.
• Automate deployments and configurations using Ansible and GitLab CI/CD.
• Develop and maintain Bash and Python scripts for routine tasks.
• Administer networking components (L2/L3, VLANs, firewalls) and services such as HAProxy, BIND, MariaDB, PostgreSQL and LibreNMS.
• Document configurations, procedures and technical processes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in system administration or IT infrastructure.
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and Debian Linux.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (L2/L3, VLANs, firewalls).
• Proven troubleshooting, incident-resolution and documentation skills.
• Autonomous, proactive, structured and results-oriented.
• Ability to work effectively in an international, highly technical environment.
