Surface Grinding Operator

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Surface Grinding Operator to run our surface grinder machines and produce high‑precision components such as punches, dies, die sets and mould parts. The role involves performing a variety of grinding operations to meet strict dimensional and surface‑finish specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Set‑up, operate and monitor surface grinding machines for various production orders.
• Perform grinding, dressing and finishing operations on precision tooling and mould components.
• Inspect finished parts for compliance with drawings and quality standards.
• Maintain machine tools, perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
• Document production data and report any non‑conformities.

Required profile

• College graduate or undergraduate in Mechanical Technology, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical/vocational program.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a surface grinding operator or in a similar machining role.
• Completed a 6‑month apprenticeship or on‑the‑job training.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings is an advantage.
