Supply Chain Director – Retail & FMCG

About the role

The Supply Chain Director will lead end‑to‑end supply chain, logistics and warehouse operations for a high‑volume retail, FMCG and e‑commerce business. Reporting to senior leadership, you will ensure efficient logistics execution, accurate inventory, and optimized warehouse performance across the nation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead nationwide supply chain, warehousing, logistics and inventory functions.
• Oversee inbound, outbound, transportation, fulfillment and distribution activities to drive operational efficiency.
• Establish inventory management frameworks and logistics strategies to improve stock accuracy and service levels.
• Monitor inventory aging, variances, shrinkage and replenishment processes.
• Collaborate with commercial, procurement, planning, warehouse and logistics teams to ensure supply continuity.
• Drive cost‑efficiency, productivity and process‑optimization initiatives.
• Ensure execution of inventory audits, stock counts and compliance requirements.
• Analyse operational data and supply‑chain metrics to identify opportunities and risks.
• Lead large operational teams, providing coaching, performance management and capability building.
• Present operational reviews, inventory reports and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business or related field.
• Extensive leadership experience in supply chain, logistics, warehousing and distribution.
• Background in retail, FMCG, e‑commerce or high‑volume logistics environments.
• Proven experience managing large‑scale distribution and transportation operations.
• Strong knowledge of inventory planning, warehouse management and logistics execution.
• Experience overseeing multi‑site or nationwide operations is highly preferred.
