Staff Accountant

About the role

This newly created Staff Accountant position will handle a broad spectrum of accounting functions, from daily transaction processing to month‑end financial reporting. The role supports both internal teams and external stakeholders while upholding the company’s core values of compassion, innovation, and collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Process daily ACH, credit‑card, and electronic payments.
• Manage COD payment reminders and follow‑up communications.
• Onboard new customers and vendors, collecting required documentation.
• Conduct collections on past‑due accounts via email and phone.
• Prepare weekly executive and sales scorecards.
• Execute month‑end sales reporting, journal entries, credit‑card processing, account reconciliations, use‑tax calculations, and customer statements.
• Enter payroll data and support year‑end tax schedules.
• Maintain a paperless filing system and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting or Business.
• 5–7 years of accounting experience with strong attention to detail.
• Proven ability to meet monthly deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
• Dependable, reliable, and willing to work flexible hours and overtime.

Required skills

• Experience working in an ERP software environment.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
