Software QA Engineer – Mobile & API Testing

About the role

We are looking for a Software QA Engineer to join our Cashalo team in Manila. You will ensure that only high‑quality features reach millions of users by designing test strategies, building automation, and driving defect resolution. This hybrid position combines hands‑on coding with close collaboration across product and engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and custom tools integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Translate product requirements into detailed test plans and high‑impact test cases for mobile and REST API components.
• Execute manual, performance, and stress testing to verify system reliability under heavy load.
• Own the bug‑tracking lifecycle, work directly with developers to troubleshoot and verify fixes.
• Participate in code reviews and feature development to ensure testability and quality standards.
• Manage test environments, test data, and use metrics to continuously improve the testing lifecycle.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in mobile and/or REST API manual testing.
• 3+ years of experience automating REST APIs using Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Proven experience as a technical leader within an Agile Continuous Delivery team.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices, preferably on Azure.
• Knowledge of API performance and load testing is a plus.
