Software Engineering Manager

About the role

Tyler Technologies is looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead the Workforce Mobile team in Manila. You will guide a group of engineers building and maintaining a native mobile application that enables public‑sector staff to manage issues in real time from their devices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of software engineers responsible for developing and supporting iOS/Android mobile applications.
• Partner with product management, architecture, platform operations, and support to align development priorities with business goals.
• Coach, mentor, and evaluate engineers through regular one‑on‑ones and performance reviews, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Drive Agile and DevOps practices to increase delivery speed, quality, and operational reliability.
• Balance roadmap execution with production escalations, protecting team capacity while responding to issues.
• Define and track KPIs to measure team health and delivery effectiveness, using data to guide improvements.
• Contribute to the evolution of the Workforce Mobile product suite and cloud modernization initiatives.
• Champion process improvements, tooling enhancements, and engineering best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience leading software engineering teams.
• Proven ability to develop talent and deliver complex software projects on schedule.
• Experience building and maintaining native mobile applications for iOS and/or Android.
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture, design patterns, and best practices for secure, scalable, maintainable apps.
• Solid grasp of DevOps principles and modern software delivery practices, including CI/CD pipeline design.
