Software Engineer – Shopify Development

About the role

We are looking for a senior‑level Software Engineer with deep expertise in the Shopify platform to join our onsite team at Clark Outsourcing in Clark, Pampanga. You will design, develop and maintain high‑performing Shopify applications that power our e‑commerce solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain Shopify‑based software applications using Python, JavaScript and Liquid.
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and fellow developers to deliver new features.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve defects, and optimise applications for speed and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers and keep documentation up to date.
• Work within Agile/Scrum processes and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Deep knowledge of Shopify Liquid template language and Shopify APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Containerisation tools such as Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• CI/CD pipelines using tools like Git, Jenkins and JIRA.
• Experience with Replit, Heroku and Google Tag Manager.
