Software Engineer (Remote)

About the role

Agents Only Technologies is looking for a remote Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain applications that support business operations, customer engagement and data‑driven initiatives. The role involves building scalable solutions, adding new features, and improving existing systems while working closely with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain software applications and internal systems.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable code following established standards.
• Develop new features and enhancements based on business and technical requirements.
• Support API development, integrations and backend services.
• Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
• Monitor application performance, optimise scalability and assist with deployments.
• Provide production support, troubleshoot defects and ensure reliability, security and availability.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Operations and QA teams on planning and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in software development or engineering.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java, C#, Go).
• Understanding of software design patterns, development lifecycles and API‑driven architectures.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of distributed teams.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Reliable internet connection and remote‑work setup.
