Software Engineer – Java/Python/AI (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking mid‑level and senior software engineers to design, build and maintain backend services and AI‑enabled features. The position is fully remote and offers the chance to work with Java, Python and modern machine‑learning tools while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend APIs and services using Java and Python.
• Integrate AI/ML models and generative‑AI capabilities into applications.
• Write clean, well‑structured, and maintainable code.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging and CI/CD pipelines.
• Assist with data processing, analysis and model integration tasks.
• Collaborate with product, data and DevOps teams to deliver features.
• Follow security, performance and reliability best practices.

Required profile

• Practical experience as a software, backend or AI/ML engineer.
• Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek guidance.
• Experience in an Agile development environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Learning mindset, adaptability and sense of ownership.

Required skills

• Python (backend or AI development)
• Java (enterprise/backend applications)
• Design, building or consuming RESTful APIs
• SQL and relational databases (NoSQL a plus)
• Git version control
• Pandas, NumPy, scikit‑learn
• Understanding of AI/ML concepts, LLMs and prompt engineering
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• CI/CD pipelines and build tools
• Docker or containerisation (advantage)
