Software Engineer II (AI)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer II to design, develop, and integrate modern backend applications and AI‑enabled solutions. The role focuses on Python‑based services, RESTful APIs, and cloud deployment on Azure or AWS, with an emphasis on generative AI capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and API services using Python.
• Integrate AI/GenAI features into enterprise workflows and products.
• Create and manage RESTful APIs and handle JSON data processing.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver cloud‑native solutions on Azure and/or AWS.
• Participate in system design discussions and contribute to technical solutioning.
• Implement secure, reliable, and maintainable software practices, including deployment automation and monitoring.
• Conduct code reviews, write technical documentation, and uphold engineering standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge within the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python development.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and JSON integrations.
• Hands‑on exposure to AI or Generative AI technologies.
• Experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.
• Proficiency with GitHub, branching strategies, and collaborative workflows.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
