Software Engineer - FinTech (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a leading financial services client, working remotely to design and maintain core financial platforms that handle real‑time transactions for millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise backend services for financial transaction processing.
• Integrate third‑party financial APIs and payment gateways in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Implement security measures to meet financial regulations and data‑privacy standards.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to ensure system reliability.

Required profile

• Proven experience in backend development using Java, Python or Go.
• Background with financial transaction systems or payment processing.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices and API design.
• Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or MongoDB.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
