Software Engineer - Backend Java (work-from-home)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Backend Java Engineer to design, develop and maintain robust Java applications. The role is fully remote and focuses on building micro‑service based solutions using Spring Boot and modern cloud technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java applications with Spring Boot.
• Create and document RESTful APIs.
• Implement micro‑services architecture and containerize applications using Docker.
• Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server and NoSQL MongoDB.
• Write automated tests and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Utilize AWS services for cloud deployment and scaling.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
• Support front‑end development using CSS, HTML and JavaScript, with optional work on Angular or React.

Required profile

• Minimum six years of professional experience in backend Java development.

Required skills

• Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of OOP principles and Entity Framework.
• Microservices architecture.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server and MongoDB.
• Docker, GitHub and AWS.
• RESTful API design and implementation.
• CI/CD tools and automated testing.
• Front‑end basics: CSS, HTML, JavaScript (Angular or React a plus).
