Software Engineer – Backend & AI Integration

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer I/II to design, develop, and integrate modern backend services and AI‑enabled solutions. The role focuses on Python‑based development, RESTful API creation, and cloud‑native deployment on Azure or AWS, with an emphasis on emerging Generative AI technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs, handling structured and unstructured JSON data.
• Develop and embed AI/Generative AI capabilities into applications and workflows.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable cloud solutions on Azure and/or AWS.
• Participate in system design discussions and contribute to technical solutioning.
• Implement secure, reliable, and maintainable engineering practices, including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Perform code reviews, debugging, testing, and performance optimizations.
• Use GitHub for source control and collaborative development.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, API specs, and implementation details.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field.
• 1–5 years of software engineering or application development experience.
• Hands‑on experience with Python programming.
• Understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and JSON integrations.
• Exposure to AI or Generative AI technologies.
• Familiarity with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.
• Experience with GitHub or similar version‑control tools.
