Software Developer – Municipal & Schools

About the role

The Software Developer will design, code, test, and document application programs that support municipal and school systems. You will work within established development standards to deliver both new features and enhancements for existing software.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, design, write, and test code for moderate‑to‑complex applications.
• Maintain and improve existing programs by fixing bugs and addressing operational deficiencies.
• Ensure program, module, and system integrity through thorough testing and adherence to company standards.
• Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, from research and design to implementation and maintenance.
• Utilize new technologies and tools to integrate internal and external applications.
• Prepare and update program and system documentation.
• Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to less experienced team members.
• Achieve departmental goals and timelines while handling additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of software development practices, concepts, and methodologies.
• Ability to work on increasingly difficult assignments with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication and collaboration with business analysts, development, and support teams.
